The Union League was founded in 1862 as a patriotic society to support the Union and the policies of President Abraham Lincoln. The classic French-Renaissance-styled building in Philadelphia–dating from 1865–was the elegant setting for tonight’s opening reception at the 64th annual Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums Annual Meeting.
