Assistant Manager of Visitor Services, Fallingwater

Mill Run, PA



Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterwork, is currently considering candidates for the position of Assistant Manager of Visitor Services. The position assists the Manager of Visitor Services in the day-to- day operation of the department. Primary duties include oversight of daily operations - primarily ticketing management and software and coordination of staff scheduling and training. Acts as the Visitor Services Manager in Manager’s absence.


Qualifications include:

  • Must have very strong computer skills, with experience in administering reservation/ticketing software.
  • Previous experience in a museum or similar front-line visitor services position like a Senior Visitor Services Representative is required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well independently and with others. Must present a positive and friendly image to visitors.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience are required.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays is required. Must be flexible with schedule and hours.
  • Post-secondary degree in business, marketing, travel and tourism, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Program Coordinator, Glen Foerd on the Delaware

Glen Foerd on the Delaware is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Public Programs and Collections and works collaboratively with all Glen Foerd staff and volunteers. The Program Coordinator will assist with development and implementation of public programs, tours and events; plan, order and maintain program supplies; provide engaging tours of Glen Foerd’s mansion and site; recruit, train, coordinate and evaluate program volunteers and docents; develop and implement program evaluations; create monthly reports of program revenue, expense and attendance; manage and provide ideas and content for program marketing efforts including social media, website, press releases and print materials; participate in all aspects of setup/breakdown, opening and closing procedures and staffing of programs, tours and events; assist with grant writing; other duties as assigned.

Executive Director, National Children's Museum

The National Children’s Museum is seeking a skilled museum professional with a track

record of leadership, business management, innovation and sound financial control at a

senior level. The ideal candidate will have a personal history of taking a project from

concept to completion. S/he will have a deep commitment to the NCM mission and the

ability to create experiences that address a thematic focus of Science, Technology,

Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Experience in growing an organization via

operational and philanthropic income generation is needed. Evidence of managing and

motivating a complex organization as well as success in managing board level relations

are essential. A successful fundraising track record is necessary. An undergraduate

degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent, is required. A Postgraduate

degree is preferred.
