Annual Meeting

The Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums is now accepting submissions for session proposals for the fall 2013 Annual Meeting.  This year’s meeting will be held in Washington, DC – - October 20 to 22.

Randy I. Cohen, Vice President of Research and Policy at Americans for the Arts will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2013 MAAM Annual Meeting.  Mr. Cohen will be speaking on the topic of Museums Mean Business.


Marsha L. Semmel, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Institute of Museum and Library Services has been confirmed as the Weil Lecturer at the Annual Meeting.  The title of the Weil Lecture will be Stuff and the Future Museums: Whither Collections in Our Virtual Age.

Accomodations:
Given the location of Washington, DC and the numerous options for every budget, MAAM will not have a host hotel.  This may change once the program is finalized.

REGISTRATION FEES (For Budgeting Purposes – Subject to Change):

MAAM Member  $295.00 [Early Bird]  – NonMembers $425.00 [Early Bird - Join MAAM and Save]  – Students $149.00**

We also have a need for a limited number of volunteers for the meeting that can assist individuals who wish to attend limited parts of the meeting, but help staff and the onsite administration of the meeting. Email Us for more information.

* Students must be enrolled in a Museum Studies program – undergraduate or graduate – or have recently graduated from either (within 2 years).
